Wedding Hair Countdown

Take it from us - it is never to early to start planning you wedding, especially when it comes to your hair.
Make sure your hair looks its beautiful best on your wedding day by following our wedding day countdown and getting into good grooming habits now. A great cut and super condition are the ultimate wedding hair accessory.
ONE YEAR TO GO
Always wash your hair with a shampoo formulated for your hair type and use a conditioner, especially on the ends. its is also advisable to use a weekly intensive conditioner, wrapping your hair in a warm towel for best results. Your stylist will advise you on the correct products for your hair type and condition. We also do exclusive in salon hair treatments for hair that has seen better days. Make sure to have your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks- even if you are trying to grow it.
SIX MONTHS TO GO
There is no reason why you cant do your own wedding hair on your big day, especially if it is short, but we think its worth the price of a few hair appointments to get some professional advice. Start thinking about the look you and your maids require. Don,t go for something to radically different to how you would usually wear your hair. better to perfect and enhance your usual look.
THREE MONTHS TO GO
You should have your wedding and bridesmaids dress by now. Take along some pictures from magazines and discuss your style choice with your hairdresser. Keep up the good work with the conditioners. you could also have a temporary colour at this point to enhance the shine of your hair. Highly advisable to have your stylist booked for your weddings day by this point, allowing plenty of time for the unexpected. Make appointments for your bridesmaids aswell. We do lots of weddings and get extremly busy, especially during the summer months.
SIX WEEKS TO GO
All the wedding party should be having trials around this time, trying a few different styles if possible. tell your stylist weather you are wearing a tiara, flowers, veil etc, or better still take with you if you have them. your stylist will need to know what you are wearing in your hair, so this can be taken into consideration when designing your style. ask your stylist to take picturees for you, so that you are able to compare styles.
TWO WEEKS TO GO
If your hair is coloured, do it now to allow time for it to settle, but not long enough to have roots showing. Have a trim to tidy up the shape of your hair. Have another trial run with all your hair assesories, especially if you did not have them at your first trial.
THE DAY BEFORE
Wash your hair. newly washed hair is harder to work with and hold grips, especially if you are wearing your hair up. Grips and pins will stay put better on hair that is not squeky clean.
ON THE DAY
And finally, sit back relax and enjoy your final hair appointment. its a good idea to have your chief bridesmaid keep a little emergency first aid kit, with grips pins and a small can of spray, just in case.
